My favorite place to see shows in Portland. The sound is fantastic. The seating is great. I was able to sit on the left side of the balcony right above J Mascis and see the techs switching out the different templates for his pedal board. The main floor is sloped so it's easier for us shorter people to get a good view there as well. There is easy residential parking around the venue. The food is good and multiple bars throughout. I love the way they have the merch area conveniently set out up. The friendliest staff in Portland. Photos of The Jesus Lizard from May 8. Great show.

We liked going to see a show at Revolution Hall. We were able to park close, the staff were really nice, the venue is clean, plenty of places to eat and drink, and we were able to get back on the road pretty quickly after the shoe. We definitely will come back again.

The building parking lot is tiny and mostly reserved & handicap spaces. There is limited street parking near, but ample street parking in the residential neighborhood about 2 blocks in any direction. There is a building-managed lot that was reasonably priced—you could pay cash or card to get in. The lot wasn’t super level and was poorly lit that night. There were no workers after the event to help direct traffic, and it took us a while to find our way out. I would recommend street parking instead of paying for their lot. The concert venue is inside an old high school that has been remodeled for offices, a bar, and the concert venue. It’s a cool place, like a less-oddly-decorated McMenamins. It was hard to find the right place to enter for Revolution Hall. Signage wasn’t great, but if you walk around the place you’ll find your way in. After getting inside, you have to walk up many stairs to get to the concert venue. I did not see if there was an elevator, but the building looks recently remodeled so I’m guessing there is accessible access. Inside the venue was awesome. Great bar, with good selection of beers. The drinks aren’t very alcoholic and they were small, but there was no limit. Expensive drinks, above $10 average. People at the concert were pretty drunk, but event workers did a good job keeping order. If you’re seeing a band you’re not familiar with, it’s a comfortable venue for that. If you’re seeing a band you love (like we were), then this is the intimate concert venue of your dreams. Great place to see a show. The bathrooms were great. Clean, well lit, and roomy. Overall, I would recommend attending a concert there, but plan ahead.
